This set is made using caramel for the white pieces and black lightning for the black pieces. Each piece is hand crafted and is solid glass. The design was inspired by classic chess set designs my Father had when I was a child. the challenge was making 32 individual pieces but keeping the size of like pieces consistent. The solid glass pieces have a good weight and are felt bottomed, which adds to the functionality,.
